Despite living merely 10 minutes from one another for the majority of their lives, Joey and Maggie met in the fall of 2020. While COVID may have seemed like end of the world, life had to have worked out just the way it did in order for them to meet. As most romance novels begin, Maggie and Joey met under some of the most desirable, beautiful circumstances - a dating app. Not to mention, with some confusion about age and whether or not Middletown is a real place.

In all seriousness, their story began with music. Joey mentioned his love of guitar and Maggie shared her passion for singing, allowing for an instant point of connection. Due to a mutual appreciation for Amy Winehouse, Valerie ended up being the first of many songs they would play together. Today, making music continues to be one of Maggie and Joey's favorite things to do together.

Since meeting, Joey and Maggie have traveled throughout the west multiple times (even enduring a close encounter with a grizzly bear), have lived in three different places, and have potentially consumed a lifetime supply of sushi. Four cats and a fish-tank later (a superb one at that), they recently bought their first home while simultaneously surviving their first tornado.

In summary, all of the excitement and hardships of the past few years have taken part in cultivating an unconditional love for one another. Joey and Maggie are truly best friends, and there is nothing that means more to them than being able to celebrate their special day with all of you.
